A Week of Love: Exploring All Its Expressions and Meanings

A Week of Love: Exploring Its Expressions and Meanings

I had an interesting week last week, fam. I am honestly taking this as an opportunity to take some time to journal as I have not really had a moment to go in and journal.Every week, in my Connected Planner, I write down an intention for my week. Last week, my intention was:

Love. This was week of love in all its forms and colors. I had the pleasure of connecting with someone who has taught me so much about love in a matter of just one week. And I don't just mean about romantic or platonic love, but actually just about the energy and essence of love and how we can love in such a various ways. So, I wanted to share a flow of realizations I have had about love in this past week. You can have love for someone without being in love with them. You can also fall in love with someone quickly, even if you know it only might last for a week and then you go your separate ways. You can love someone but still not want them in your life. You can also love someone from afar - even though you are no longer in close connection. There is also that love we have for our loved ones, friends, family, and pets. Each love with different person or being is different. No love is the same. You can be in love with the one and only person who was your first ever love and be in love for the rest of your lives. You can also love multiple people at once and be in a relationship with more than one person. This to be done in full transparency and connection that people involved are happy to relate this way.You can also have multiple relations of love that are shorter in length but still each deeply meaningful to your journey. You can love someone who is very similar to you or very different. You can share love on a dance floor just by dancing together, smiling to each other and not sharing any words. You can share love by doing a group hug with people you just met. You can love someone of same sex or opposite sex -or even be attracted to relate and love people from all genders there are. Love can be fluid like that.Love is this rainbow of different colours, shades - no love is the same.Every love is unique as each one of us is unique. There is only one you - so the love that forms between you and another people is uniquely beautiful.Love doesn't choose, love just happens when two energies align between two human beings. Love is effortless, ever flowing.Love understands, respects your boundaries.Love brings out the inner child and playfulness.Love loves you more when you say what you need and don't do something to please others.Love is being present with each other without screens.Love is intimate, but intimacy does not mean sex, but can be just cuddling, hugging and holding hands or other physical touch.  Intimacy can be just breathing together.Love is sharing something that is deeply personal and important to you.Love is whole-embodied yeses and no's and we should never settle for less than.Love is unconditional presence and support.Love is not about fixing but being in the rut together.Love has your back. Love does not frail upon conflict but is actually fed by those moments that push you to grow and learn from each other.Love is kind and patient.Love cries together or just holds you when you need to cry.Love loves.Love just is there - effortlessly, and yet ever working, travelling through the roller coaster ride of life, as we are ever changing, so does the love. Also, there is love you have with yourself. This is in my opinion the most important love of all. We can love other people all we want, but we must learn to love ourselves first - and from the whole-embodied self-love you can pour to other cups of love. I have a full chapter about love in my book HEARTFUL that comes out in November. In that chapter, I write: "Learning to love yourself unconditionally through whatever comes in life is freedom. The more you love yourself the more it reflects to the world, creating a more loving world. Energy radiates and the energy you show up in the world will radiate back to you."Love is everything. Love is where everything starts and ends. Finally, if no one else told you today, I want to tell you that you are worthy of love - in whatever expression or form it may take in your life. You can express and be in love in whatever way feels right in your heart to you.So, with this letter, I want to remind you to choose love today, tomorrow and every day. Be curious and open to all the forms of love around us. If we can be open and just allow love to flow and people to express love in a way that feels right to them - then we will create a much loving world. I leave you with this question to connect with:If love were to choose and lead me today, what would it do, be and say?Heartfully,Essi

OCTOBER COMMUNITY EVENTS

Could you use a little escape from the city buzz and be closer to the Mother Earth among deer and trees in Richmond Park? Are you wanting to meet new people and maybe make some new friends while walking together?

Our next walk meetup will be in Richmond Park on Oct. 14th at 12-4pm.

Research proves that walking together socially boosts our wellbeing and connection and sense of belonging. The walk itself will be about 2 hours depending our walk speed but we have some socialising time. We will stop for coffee and a packed lunch and do a connected circle & meditation (weather allowing).

Everyone is welcome who is feeling the calling to practice some mindfulness, connect with likeminded individuals and the Mother Earth on Saturday afternoon!

Oracle Card Message:  What needs decluttering?  Maybe there is that drawer that has lot of small things, bibs and bobs that you never get to organise. Autumn is time for declutter and let go of things, and this is your invitation to do that. Tend to the things, big or small, that you usually do not get to but require organising. It will feel good after you've done it.
