A Friend in Need - How Connected You Was Born

"I miss connecting with women and hearing women's stories in a nice group setting."That is how it started. Lockdown. 2020. My friend who I had gone to some women's circles before said this to me after we were locked into our houses and we could not meet with anyone in person. So, I said: "Well, I could create a space online so we could connect with women that way?"I invited 10 women that I had connected with from all over the world that I had gotten the pleasure to connect with in different parts of my life to be part of this group. For 6 months, we met once a month connecting on a specific theme to connect with ourselves and with others to promote better wellbeing. The time of the pandemic really confirmed my own belief system of how connection is the foundation for our wellbeing. When we are connected, there is light, love and good wellbeing. When we are disconnected, there will be darkness and we don't feel good within ourselves. In the disconnection, there is often adversity faced, but from that experience, we often find ourselves. I like to use the metaphor of electricity. When energy flows, the light is on, but when there is disconnection in the current, the light switches off and darkness enters. This is the same thing within our own system. When energy does not flow within us, we start to feel lower vibrating emotions. However, we are meant to go through times of disconnection and darkness to really see what really makes us light up. It is the Yin and Yang - we need both darkness and light to be whole as a human being. “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.”– DumbledoreOUR AIM WITH CONNECTED YOUMy aim with Connected You is to create monthly spaces through various group settings where people can come and be able to "turn on the light" a little bit by connecting with themselves and others in a safe space. Having done women's circles monthly since 2020 - I have seen the power of togetherness to connect and share as a profound healer and an uplifter of energy. This is not therapy, nor coaching - just people coming together to connect in a facilitated space. This month's circle I am hosting together with Self-Compassion Coach Usha Hamal for single women on how to thrive in solitude and ease the feelings of loneliness and pressures single people can experience in today's society (scroll below for details!)We are planning for more workshops - so stay tuned! My main goal next is to start a group for men to come and connect about wellbeing, which will happen soon! :)I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR INPUT...When it comes to wellbeing and mental health, what kind of themes would you like to see us cover in our future workshops? E.g. fitness, diet, specific mental health conditions, managing stress, emotions, sleep, habits, relationships, friendships etc. Email me your ideas at: [email protected]Connected You started from my friend having a need for connection in lockdown, and I hope to fill this need for many more people in the future. Having a space to connect is our way toward light, healing and togetherness and to cope with the dark a little bit easier. I hope to get to connect with you in one of my groups soon.Thank you for being here and being part of this community. It is only the beginning - but your support means a lot. Keep connecting. Keep moving.EssiPS: Check out the singles circle below and share to anyone who can use a space like this. xx

Are you single?Do you feel pressure from loved ones and society to find a partner?Do you sometimes struggle with feelings of loneliness?Do you want to feel more confident in yourself?

If the answer is yes to any of the above, then we have the workshop for you.

In this workshop, myself and my good friend Self-Compassion Coach Usha Hamal will guide you to elevate the relationship you have with yourself and feel confident in being single. You hope that instead of feeling lonely, you could find contentment and peace being alone? You hope instead of surviving solo, you could thrive solo, and thus also start manifesting romantic relationship you truly desire and deserve?

We've got you. But it all starts by learning to thrive in the most important relationship of all: the one you have with yourself.

Question for connection

What would love do?If you ask this question daily, it helps you to live from the energy of love, even on a day you might be feeling low. Love never leaves us, so asking what it would do can give you the profound answer you need to find more connection in your day.
