I've got so much to update you on, *|FNAME|*!
I've got so much to tell you, !
Firstly, , I just want to say a huge thank you for being here and reading my letters. it means a lot to me and regardless whether we have met in person or not. You are part of my tribe. I am glad you are here.Sooo, I thought for this one to give bit of updates what I have been working on in the Connected You Community. Read all the way to the end for a personal update as well that you are first to hear about.OUR FIRST WALK FOR WELLBEING AND CONNECTION IN EPPING FORESTFirstly, we had absolutely wholesome time as I did my first walk for wellbeing event in Epping Forest last weekend. There was ten of us ladies who embarked to the forest, buzzing in conversation and laughter. We hugged some trees, shared stories and gathered for a women's circle underneath this gorgeous Grimston Oak Tree, which is apparently 350 years old.
Stunning, eh? Absolutely wholesome. That tree held some magic! We could all feel it.As I wrote in my previous letter about the benefits of walking, walking together definitely raised our sense of social connection and togetherness. My heart being so full after and the women asking for more - I answered the call and will do another walk next month - and not just for women, but welcoming everyone! This will happen on Sept. 16th.
Next update: Connected You is now officially a donation-based business
Heartfulness is to give forward and to live through the heart and kindness. We are heart-led business that leads with community first bringing people together and giving forward to those in need.It is important to me to make community, support and self-development accessible to all.Every event you attend - you donate the sum of your choice - which goes to Connected You community building, creating future events and supporting its members. We also hold special collaboration events where we gather money for charities we collaborate with who support people with depression, loneliness and suicide.
Next month, we will walk for Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention
It is National Suicide Prevention Week in September, and we will donate to Papyrys, an organisation that fights against young people's suicide. Many of you might know that I have personal connection to this cause, having lost my brother to suicide in 2017. He was only 20 years old. So, this walk means a lot to me and I wanted to take the opportunity to raise money for a good organisation and walk to remember those we have lost by coming togehter. I hope this walk can be a beacon for those who have lost someone too and for people who might be struggling to come be held in the warm hug that this community is. 10% of donations made will go to Papyrys and rest to build our community. You can sign up here or scroll below for more info. Also, if you want to read more about our vision. Go check out our website:
This vision of bringing people together to promote wellbeing through heartful connection and shared experiences is so wholesome to me. From walks, circles and workshops, I am planning more - for online too for those who are outside the UK. Stay tuned!Which brings me to the next announcement.HOSTING MY FIRST CONNECTED MEN'S COLLECTIVEI am holding our first online group for the amazing men in this community or individuals who recognise themselves in the masculine polarity.
Thursday, 14 Sept | 7pm-8pm GMT on Zoom
Women's circles are popular events these days, but men need space to talk too. I have done groups for women nearing 3 years now and I have had this niggle of wanting to create similar space for men. So, I will hold space for a power hour for a group of men to come together simply to connect and be inspired by each others stories. This is exclusive first time event that I wanted to invite you, if you are in the masculine polarity and looking for a space to share and meet other like-minded men who want to work on their personal development and growth. Email me at [email protected], if you are keen to join. I hope Connected You will be a place where we can all come together regardless of genders, backgrounds, or how we look or whomever we love. There is only one club here, human club.I know I shared quite a bit and this is long but I wanted to let you know what is happening. I feel I have been working and thinking these ideas forever, and now I am just going for them.Which brings to the final announcement:*Drum roll please!MY FIRST BOOK WILL COME OUT THIS FALLYikes, cannot believe I just wrote that. SCARY. I am deep in editing process, but this book will be about my HEARTFUL method and philosophy that I live, coach and guide by.It will be this nice little pocket book of wisdom that you can take anywhere and lean in when you need to seek tips for self-development on your own journey to live a heartful life. These are tools I live by every day. But, more information on that in another letter. Come and join us to walk together for wellbeing, community and making friends while raising awareness and funds for suicide prevention in honor of the Natonal Suicide Prevention Week. This is the first one of our donation based events and 10% donations will be given to Papyrys, an organisation who battles against young suicide here in the UK.We will do a 5K walk in Hampstead Heath on a Saturday afternoon. We walk to remember those who have been lost and break stigma about suicide and open up conversation. We do this by promoting connection, community and togetherness.
We welcome everyone from all walks of life who wants to connect with likeminded individuals who care about their wellbeing and self-development and care about this cause. People who believe connection, community is what we need more of in this world to heal loneliness, depression and suicidal ideation.
We welcome furry friends too! This is a dog friendly walk for dogs that are properly trained for crowds and other dogs - but dogs must be kept on leash at all times for everyone's comfort and safety.
