Is your heart fully in what you do, *|FNAME|*?
Is your heart fully in what you do, ?
Ok, it's time for some heart-to-heart."Is my heart fully in what I do? What does my heart really want to do?"
I have been pondering these questions a lot lately.
If we do not know what we want in our hearts, we feel unsettled. I have found myself feeling very unsettled lately.
What do I want to do for work, really? What is my purpose, really? What do I value? What really matters to me? What is it I don’t want? What lights me up? What does not?
I heard this Bible verse recently that has stuck with me:
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
Many times in my coaching I tell people if your heart is not in it, you do disjustice for yourself and others. It is not the highest good of anyone to do something where your heart does not truly lie.
We can find ourselves in something that has served us quite a while and all of a sudden the heart whispers: "This does not feel right" or more drastically you can find it screaming at you: "GET OUT. END THIS. NOW."
The heart tells you in various voices and intensities. However, the thing is, if something keeps repeating, it is a sign.
Whatever the heart repeats, it is a sign.
Our treasure will be where our heart is.
If your heart is not in it, it is disjustice and not highest good for anyone.
Where your heart lies - it is your truth - you will also find your treasure.
By treasure I do not mean just financial reward or other forms of reward. By treasure I mean you will find heartful abundance and flourishing where your heart truly lies.
You create treasures all around when your heart is fully in it.
Following your heart means that is how you find your abundance, fulfillment and purpose.
When we ignore the heart, we disconnect from ourselves and our purpose and the light starts dimming. That is usually when we start getting exhausted and engagement goes down. We might get more reactive than responsive to life. We just don't feel aligned. We don't feel fully ourselves. Something is just off. So, if you are feeling any of this or just not fully in it with something. Like something is just not right.
It is likely your heart is just not in it.
It is okay to feel like this - the heart will start signposting when something needs redirecting. Your gut will start to feel off when something is not right. It is important to listen to all the internal communication - that is your inner guiding system.
So, my encouragement is: just listen for a while. Take a journal and ask: Is my heart truly in what I do? What does my heart really want to do?Check in and witness what comes up repeatedly through the heart's whispers, and you will know what is true.Sometimes, truth is not easy to face, but truth is the only way forward. And in truth, you will find your greatest treasures in life. Have courage you beautiful soul. You deserve all the treasures in the world. And when your heart is in it, it is the highest good for all. Question for connection
What do I value most in a friendship?I have thought about this a lot lately. What is important to me in a friendship? What are the standards for me to create a valuable friendship?Good way to do a check-in to see if your friendships meet these standards. We often focus on our romantic connections and standards in them, but it is as important to set them in our platonic relationships too.
