What is Summer Solstice really about?

The Great Wheel turns again as we officially hit Summer Solstice this Thursday. I am a big believer in the nature's cycles and the importance of us humans staying connected to them.Just like the four seasons, seven days in the week, having a day and night are cycles of life - these Nature's Great Wheel of Life celebrations are the same! WHAT DOES SUMMER SOLSTICE MEAN?Summer Solstice marks the start of summer and indeed in Finland we celebrate something called Midsummer to celebrate the longest day of the year when we get most natural light - the sun does not set at all in Finland! Magical.Solstice stems from Latin solstitum:(sol) = sun(stitum) = to stopIt means "standing still" - which makes Solstice a time for stillness and reflection to see how far you've come. THIS WEEK'S FULL MOON - STRAWBERRY FULL MOON - June 21st- The Moon was named after this seasonal peak when strawberries are ready to be harvested.- This Full Moon is in the sign of Capricorn - even though Capricorn works hard this Moon is an invitation to step back and take stock of what has worked, what not, and what is longterm.- The Sun being in Cancer brings the feminine energy of nurturing, safety, love present.WHAT IS SUMMER SEASON REALLY ABOUT?- Summer is the season of manifesting, making things happen, creating, abundance and productivity and being "out there."- It is the season of the fullness of life. The most heartful season of all. It is about being out there living your life being and doing things that make your heart feel most full.JOURNALING QUESTIONS FOR YOU- What would life in its more heartful and alive state in this summer season look like for you?- What does long-term and long-lasting look like in your life right now?- How can you embody "yes, and?" mindset more this summer? Summer Solstice + Strawberry Full Moon Message

HAH. I just wrote about Summer Solstice, which is the season of the Sun. Just like this card has this big rose in the middle that looks like Full Moon: The Full Moon this week is also called as "Rose Moon!" I KNOW.
