A Heartfful Pause: My Picks for You đź«€

From music to poetry to a little ritual—these heartful picks are helping me land softly after change. Maybe they’ll bring you a little comfort, too.

Landing back in London after time away has felt like a mix of emotions—familiar, yet different.

A little chaotic, a little grounding and peaceful. I’m moving through the in-between time which I wrote about in my last letter. I am moving through it with curiosity, with this quote in my heart:

"All great changes are preceded by chaos."

- Deepak Chopra

What if, instead of resisting the messiness of change, we saw it as proof that something new is unfolding? What if the in-between wasn’t lost time—but the most important part of all?

So, instead of resisting the chaos and the waves it brings, I’m leaning into it—with small rituals, comforting things, and intuitive practices that help me land softly. So, I thought to share these. Maybe they’ll help you too. ✨

MY HEARTFUL PICKS đź’–

đź’ A Thought: “Change is like waves. They come and go but you just gotta keep riding through them.” 🌊

Change, like waves, comes and goes. Sometimes it’s gentle, sometimes it crashes over you—but the only way is through.

On my last days in Bali, I recorded a little reminder: Waves are a metaphor for life’s changes. You don’t have to fight them. You don’t have to fear them. You just ride them, knowing you’re strong enough to move through all the currents life brings your way. 🌊

And remember—every wave passes. Even the biggest ones.

đź“– A Poem by Morgan Harper Nichols

This poem is a whisper in the midst of change—a gentle reminder to soften into the unknown.

Just four days in being back in London, I’ve felt the pull of human doing mode—the pressure to hustle, to have everything figured out. But my nervous system craves peaceful mode instead. Flowing through each moment. Taking action from a centered place.

If you’ve felt that tug-of-war too, this poem might be the breath of fresh air you need.

🎵 A Song/Playlist: JP Cooper - Waiting On A Blue Sky

Right now, London is grey. Winter is still around. The lack of sunlight is real—and so is the seasonal heaviness that comes with it. Having left bright and sunny Bali, I feel the shock of it. But this song feels like a hug to the soul, reminding us that everything is temporary.

“Don’t pay no mind to your fear, it's a lie
I’ll keep a place for you here while your waiting on a blue sky
Sooner or later, I know your tears gonna dry
Why don’t we dance in the rain while we're waiting on a blue sky”

Whatever season you’re in—literal or emotional—this too shall pass. The sun will rise again. In the meantime, dance in the rain, embracing the journey of it all. đź’™

đź’¨ A Practice: One Wish For Today

Since being back to London, we’ve done this with my friend Alex upon waking up.

Each morning, when you wake up, ask yourself:

✨ What is my one wish for today? âś¨

It doesn’t need to be big. It doesn’t even need to be specific. Maybe you wish for ease. Maybe you wish for a moment of laughter or having a productive day. Maybe you wish to feel held.

It’s a tiny, intentional drop of hope—a way to set the tone for your day without pressure or expectation.

đź’¨ An Activity: Walk & Talk on Valentine’s Weekend

Valentine’s isn’t just for couples—it’s for connection. 💛

If you’re in London, come join me for a Walk & Talk in Notting Hill on Valentine’s weekend. It’s a chance to move, chat, and connect—whether you’re flying solo, bringing a friend, or just craving some heartful conversation. No pressure, no expectations—just fresh air, good company, and chat about rom com and love that takes many forms in our lives.
