A room full of senior men. A talk on connection. Here’s what happened.

I didn’t change who I was to fit the room. I brought who I am. That made all the difference.

Dear reader,

I wrote you last week about what are the signs you’re really following a heartful calling. Check it out here, if you haven’t read it yet.

Last week, I spoke about the topic of how to become more memorable with presenting and speaking at an internal club inside a major consulting firm, a space I’d quietly been manifesting for some time.

I’m used to speaking in spiritual, heart-led spaces, often full of feminine energy. But this room? It was all men. Senior-level men, too—but I wasn’t told that until after the session, so I could stay in flow.

And I did.

I showed up fully as myself. Bubbly. Heartful. Rooted in what I believe I’m here to do:
to help people connect to themselves and each other with the power of vulnerability, authenticity and courage.

What happened in just 40 minutes was magic.

These men—often seen as polished and high-performing and expected to show up in a certain way.
They relaxed.
They smiled.
They opened up.
They played all out (we even did a superman pose together in the room!)
They asked great questions to support them in their growth.
They felt “inspired,” “motivated,” “more confident.”

But what struck me most? The majority of them didn’t walk away quoting the presentation tools I shared.

They said they wanted to:
Be themselves more.
Focus on connection more.
Bring more of who they are into the spaces they speak.

That blew me away.

Because in that moment it was confirmed how much men need this too.
They need spaces where they can soften, be heard, feel inspired—and know they don’t have to be perfect to be powerful.

The power is in their presence.

Watching their eyes light up and them getting so energised… I’ll never forget it.

That’s when I knew: this is my purpose.

When I speak from the heart, I help others lead from theirs.

And the joy I felt during this whole process from preparation, doing it and after?
It has been off the charts. I have been BUZZING for days.

Because when we allow more joy, more truth, more fun, that’s when we become magnets for the life that’s meant for us.

So… what would life look like if you let joy and heart lead more?
What might shift if you stopped performing and simply showed up as you?

If you’d like me to bring this kind of energy to your team or organisation, hit reply. Let’s talk.

With love,
Essi x

PS: Speaking of heartful spaces for men, the Men’s Walk and Talk Club is happening on Saturday, July 12th in Regent’s Park where this kind of heart-centred connection will be created. Share this link to any man in your life. Help us make it happen!

Let's keep connecting.
Because together is better.
